JOB OPPORTUNITY
Minersville Town is looking for a steady, reliable person to fill the position of:
Public Works
Job description:
- Maintenance of water and sewer system, roads, swimming pool, buildings and grounds, parks, cemetery and equipment.
- May be subject to hazardous chemicals (chlorine, methane)
Requirement:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Valid Utah divers license
- Will need to pass water and sewer certifications and have basic computer skills
- Physically preform manual labor with the ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Preform duties in an orderly, organized manner.
- Must work well with other employees and interact with the public
- May have to work some weekend and holidays in emergency situations
- Job requires working in all weather conditions
- Operate town equipment
Information:
- Starting wage: $16.00-$20.00hr depending on experience and certifications
- 40 hours per week with full benefits Insurance, 401K and retirement after 90 days.
- Minersville ordinance 7.2.15 requires Town employees to reside within Town boundaries within 3 months of their employment
- Must be able to pass a drug test and background check
